Catch-Up & Cleanup Bookkeeping

Months or years behind? We rebuild your books from the bank statements up and get you current, accurate and tax-ready.

Catch-Up & Cleanup Bookkeeping

Falling behind on the books is common. A busy season, a software change, a bookkeeper who left, or a shoebox of receipts that never got entered, and suddenly you are a year behind with a tax deadline coming. The fix is a methodical rebuild, not a panic.

We start from source documents: bank and credit card statements, invoices, payroll reports and loan statements. Every transaction gets entered and categorized, every account gets reconciled to the statement, and errors in the existing file get corrected rather than buried.

When the catch-up is finished you get a clean, reconciled set of books and the financial statements your tax preparer needs. Most clients then move onto a monthly plan so the books never fall behind again.

What is included

  • Rebuilding books from bank and credit card statements
  • Correcting miscategorized and duplicate transactions
  • Reconciling every account for every period

Catch-Up & Cleanup Bookkeeping questions

How far behind can my books be?

There is no limit. We have rebuilt multiple years of books from statements. The further behind you are, the more important it is to start now.

What documents do you need?

Bank and credit card statements for every period, plus any invoices, payroll reports, loan statements and receipts you have. Missing pieces can usually be pulled from your bank's online portal.

Will I still be able to file my taxes on time?

If you reach out before the deadline, usually yes. If the deadline has already passed, we get the books done so your return can be filed as soon as possible.

How it starts

  1. Quick discovery call

Fifteen minutes on what your business does, what software you use, and where the books stand today.

  2. Secure connection

We connect to your bank feeds and accounting software with read-only access. No paper shuffling.

  3. Catch-up if needed

If the books are behind, we bring them current and reconciled before anything else.

  4. Monthly rhythm

Each month you get reconciled books, clear reports, and a short note on what changed.
